We offer British Sign Language (BSL) courses for children of all ages and their parents/guardians.

Our courses are suitable for all levels, from absolute beginners to intermediate students.

Whether you want to learn the basics like the alphabet, numbers and simple vocabulary to more complex conversational skills such as describing your family, work, and hobbies and interests, we have exciting classes for you.

You will also be shown some interesting and useful methods that will help you to retain and apply what you are learning. One method we use is teaching you how to juggle!

All of our British Sign Language courses are available online. Our tutor led courses are presented on video conferencing software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, and others.

All of our courses are aimed at the following age groups:-

• Children up to 7 years old
• Children up to 13 years old
• Young adults up to 18 years old
• Adults

Happy Hands was established to provide BSL classes for young children and their families as there are very few classes and courses available. Most BSL courses are designed for adults and may not cover some of the signs that occur in everyday life.

We are accredited with Signature.org and are therefore able to offer courses that lead to well recognised qualifications in British Sign Language

Our tutors have over 25 years experience in education and have up to date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
