Smart Associates are an independent civil and structural engineering consultancy, with a track record of successfully delivery projects for our clients in excess of 50 years.
Based in Cardiff, we carry out work throughout South Wales and Mid Wales for our clients, which include many RSL’s and their contractor/developer partners.
The Practice specialises in Residential Developments, including Care and Extra Care Homes. Projects vary in size and a typical development would have a value in the region of £10 million.
Our design team have extensive experience in sub-structure, detailing, and super structure design as well as a substantial knowledge of highway and drainage agreements, nameley Section 38's, Section 278's for highways and Section 104/105 for drainage. We are also able to progress SuDs designs from concept to completion and take SAB submissions through to approval. Planning Conditions are discharged relevant to our disciplines.
In 1992 the practice was acquired by the Associates under the trading name of Smart Associates.
